In consultation with the Parish Council, Finance Council and approval from the Parish Board, St. Francis de Sales has adopted a fee structure to help offset our parish religious education program beginning with the 2025-2026 school year. CLICK HERE for details.
Our Confirmation Mass was celebrated this year at St. Augustine Cathedral on April 25. Thank you to everyone who assisted Anthony Biomonte and Olivia Little in their Catholic journey, including their teachers, Mike Sacco and Marie Kalberer; and their parents, sponsors, other family members, and friends. For the newly confirmed: "That the gifts of the Holy Spirit will continue to enrich their lives."
St. Francis de Sales was blessed to have 11 of our youngest parishioners receive their First Communion at 9:30 Mass on Sunday, May 4! Special thanks to their catechists, Ms. Lynn and Mr. Justin!

Sunday, May 4, 2025, is the end of the novendiales, the mourning period for Pope Francis. At 11:00am, we will toll the church bells 100 times for the repose of the soul of Pope Francis, one toll for each of his 88 years of life and one toll for each of his 12 years as Pope. Please join us on Good Friday at 3pm in the church as we begin our journey to Divine Mercy Sunday. We will be praying the Divine Mercy Novena from April 18 through April 26 daily at 3pm. Then on April 27, Divine Mercy Sunday at 3pm, we will have a special celebration of Divine Mercy with prayers, chaplet, hymns and veneration of the Divine Mercy Image. Our Confirmation candidates will celebrate the sacrament of Confirmation on April 25 at 6:00 PM. The Mass will be held at St Augustine Cathedral with Bishop Kicanas, their families, sponsors and teachers. We pray that the Holy Spirit will renew their lives, strengthen their relationships with God, and guide them in their faith journeys.
Stop by the Parish Center for the mini craft sale and bake sale after the 5pm Mass on Saturday, March 29, and between 8am and 1pm on Sunday, March 30. Yummy homemade baked goods and springtime craft items will be available to purchase.
Take time out for meditative prayer this Lent! You are invited to a Taize Prayer Service,
6:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 26, at St. Francis de Sales Church. Taize, an ecumenical service, is a form of Christian contemplative worship. Using just a few words, chants are sung which express a basic reality of faith. As the words are sung over many times, this reality gradually penetrates the whole being.
On Fridays beginning March 7 through April 11, we will have our meatless Lenten Soup Nights in the O'Leary Room at 5pm, followed by Stations of the Cross in the church at 6pm. All are welcome to attend. The soup is free of charge but we will accept donations for our Philotheas Ministry.

Prayer and Life Workshops is part of a New Evangelization movement. It is a 15-week program that will teach you 15 new ways to pray, in order to start or improve your relationship with God.

If you are a Catholic who has been away, we invite you to become more active in the Church again. LANDINGS is an eight-week program that offers "a safe place to land," a place for listening and for being heard, a place for asking questions, and for reconnecting with the faith as an adult. We begin our next session on 3/12/25. Pre-registration is required and you do not have to be a member of St. Francis de Sales Parish to join. CLICK HERE for more information and to sign up.
Join us for a western themed Saddle Up Dinner and line dancing lessons for all ages on Saturday, March 1 beginning at 6pm. Dinner will be pulled pork (or chicken) sandwiches, coleslaw, beans and dessert. Adult drinks and sodas will be provided by the Knights of Columbus. Tickets are available for purchase in the office and after Sunday morning Masses. Cost is $10 per person for ages 6 and up. 5 and under are free.
The feast day for St. Francis de Sales is on Friday, January 24. We will have an 8am and 6pm Mass. After the 6pm Mass, we will serve pie and coffee in the O'Leary Room. Please feel free to bring your favorite pie (or dessert) to share and enjoy celebrating our Patron Saint.

The KoC council presented a new Chasuble to the Parish during the 8:00 Mass on Thanksgiving day. Attending the presentation to Father Richard were Grand Knight Jim Sinkiawic, Deputy Grand Knight Doug Hanna, Past Grand Knight Andy Jordan, Recorder Brad Hahn, Compliance Officer Rene Enriquez and Stu Sepulvida.
